I wanted to post something here from the day I've arrived in the Netherlands,but was too busy to write anything...well,everything started fine,my friend came to the airport to pick me up and I'm sure without her help over those heavy luggage,I couldn't arrive home safe!..we didn't hire a taxi,insted came all the way using trains and buses! and it was sooo easy! and I was wondering what a great difference is between public transportation in my hometown and here..

anyway,my home is a nice,colorful,fully furnished room.I really like it as it is in my favorite colors,yellow and red!

I haven't started my research at university yet and was busy doing those paperworks all last week.In this aspect,Nethelands is just like Iran,but there's one major point and that's you are greeted everywhere you go,they respect you and show that they respect the time you've spent to get somewhere..you're never asked to wait for hours and hours and then when just it's your turn to hand in your documents be asked to take a copy of a paper while the copying machine is just ten streets away!!!(how many times you have faced such a situation?!)

well,I'll start my work at university tomorrow and hope everything goes well during these years. that's enough for now,will be back with another post soon.

Tonight I watched a movie which was all about the magic of numbers in our life.It was called "The Number 23" and the story was about a man,Walther,whose wife buys him a second-hand novel as a gift for his birthday which is all about a mysterious story around number 23.He becomes captivated with the story and obsessed with the number 23, finding many coincidences with his own life, and he decides to find the author, believing the story is about him. His further investigation discloses a mysterious situation that makes Walther paranoid...
well,although it was just a movie but the fact is that I also believe that numbers play important roles in our life.. In fact almost 26 years ago when on the warmest hour of a hot summer day, to be specific : 7th day of month, I was born I didn't know that just a number can play such a role in my life!As I grew up litle by little, I faced this fact! for an instance,I was invited for an interview at the 7th university in europe, on the 7th day of a month, met my phd prof. at the 7th floor of that dept. building and defended my M.sc. thesis on 7th day of the other month... well,it may sound crazy or just foolish to even think about those small,unimportant aspects of life, doesn't it? but sometimes I think maybe there is a story behind those numbers which we're unaware of..just maybe,who knows?!

Brian had asked Dave to help him out with cutting his rather large garden hedge after work, so Dave went straight over to Brian's home. When they got to the front door, Brian went straight up to his wife, gave her a big hug and told her how beautiful she was and how much he had missed her at work. When it was time for supper, he complimented his wife on her excellent cooking, kissed her and told her how much he loved her.

Once they were cutting the privet, Dave told Brian that he was surprised that he fussed so much over his wife. Brian said that he' d started this about six months ago, it had revived their marriage, and things couldn't be better. Dave thought he'd give it a go.

When he got home, he gave his wife a massive hug, kissed her and told her that he loved her. His wife burst into tears! Dave was confused and asked why she was crying. She said, 'This is the worst day of my life. First, little Nigel fell off his bike and twisted his ankle. Then, the washing machine broke and flooded the basement. And now, you come home drunk!'

پ.ن. ... و امروز بعد از گذشت ۴ سال، چقدر محتاج بردباریم!

The husband had just finished reading the book 'Man of the House.'

He stormed into the kitchen and walked directly up to his wife, pointing a finger in her face, he said,

'From now on I want you to know that I am the man of the house and my word is law. I want you to prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I'm finished eating my meal, I expect a scrumptious dessert. Then, after dinner, you are going to draw me my bath so I can relax. And when I'm finished with my bath, guess who's going to dress me and comb my hair?

His wife replies, 'the funeral director would be my guess'

On the first day Margo packed all her belongings into boxes, crates and suitcases.  On the second day, she had the movers come and collect her things.  On the third day, Margo sat down for the last time at their beautiful dining room table by candlelight, put on some soft background music, and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar, and a bottle of Chardonnay.

When she had finished, she went into each an every room and deposited few half-eaten anchovies dipped in caviar down the curtain rods.

When Margo's husband Ralph returned with his new girlfriend Tracey, all was bliss for the first few days.  Then slowly, the house began to smell.  They tried everything, cleaning, mopping, and airing the place out. Vents were checked for dead rodents, and carpets were steam cleaned. Air fresheners were hung everywhere.

Exterminators were brought in to set off gas canisters, during which they had to move out for a few days, and in the end they even paid to replace the expensive wool carpeting.....Nothing worked.  People stopped coming over to visit. Repairmen refused to work in the house.  The maid quit. Finally, they could not take the terrible smell any longer and decided to move.

A month later, even though they had cut their price in half, Ralph and Tracey could not find a buyer for their stinky house. Word got out, and eventually, even the local realtors refused to return their calls. 

Finally, they had to borrow a huge sum of money from the bank to purchase a new place. Then Margo called Ralph, and asked how things were going and he told her the saga of the rotting house.  She listened politely, and said that she missed her old home terribly, and would be willing to reduce her divorce settlement in exchange for getting the house back.

Knowing his ex-wife had no idea how bad the smell was, Ralph agreed on a price that was about 1/10th of what the house had been worth, but only if she were to sign the papers that very day.  She agreed, and within the hour his lawyers delivered the paperwork.

A week later Ralph and Tracey stood smiling as they watched the moving company pack everything to take to their new home - including the curtain rods! 

An English teacher wrote the words, 'Woman without her man is nothing' on the blackboard and asked the students to punctuate so that it made sense.

The boys wrote: 'Woman, without her man, is nothing.'

The girls wrote: 'Woman!  Without her, man is nothing.'

Do you like to know what is ‌‌‌Boredom?? It is when you buy a turbo train ticket to get to your destination as soon as possible,but not only it sets out with one hour delay!!!but also it moves like a turtle!! Then,while you're all alone on the train and you have not enough space even to strech your legs, a family is beside you with two Molas!! who like to listen to Nohe with a loud voice on their cell phones! on the other hand,an action movie is on TV to make the passengers enjoy their trip as much as they can!!it's all around gunfiring!!and a small naughty boy is used to repeat every dialoge in the movie aloud!! Well,you decide not to hear anything at all! and prefere to look out of the window and enjoy the scenery but all you can see is just desert and desert and desert !!and only snow-covered montains faaaaar faaaaar away!!..It was the most boring trip I've ever been on and I won't get on turbo trains again even if I get a free ticket!!
